ORTHOSOCIETY COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING ACADEMY POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ORTHODONTICS CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME

A. GENERAL INFORMATION AND PROVISIONS

  1. Orthosociety and Octacademy are institutions registered and protected by law in some of Asia-Pacific Countries

  2. Orthosociety is an independent community. It has cooperation with private and educational institutions in some countries, but does not have permanent ties yet with professional organizations in some Asia Pacific Countries.

  3. Octacademy is an educational company initiated in Indonesia and Malaysia, and it has cooperation with some universities in South East Asia and The United Kingdom.

  4. All activities conducted by Orthosociety and Octacademy will likely not be recognized and approved by the dental association in some countries. However, should in the future a partnership can be established with certain professional organizations or institutions, we will notify you verbally or in writing.

  5. DIPLOMA Certification in Clinical Orthodontics is awarded by the City Of London Dental School.

  6. Master of Science in Orthodontics (MSc Orth) certification is provided by the City of London Dental School, in cooperation with the University of Greater Manchester (formerly the University of Bolton).

  7. The Fellowship Degree is awarded by Orthosociety.

  8. The membership status (Member of Orthosociety) is awarded by Orthosociety.

B. ACTIVITY AND PLACE OF ACTIVITY

  1. Orthosociety conduct short courses and Octacademy conduct continuing education in several Asia-Pacific countries.

  2. Classes will be held in Asia-Pacific Countries. Should unexpected situations occur, Orthosociety and Octacademy shall change the date or move the location of the activity to another city or even another country. All costs arising from these changes (transportation, accommodation, personal costs) are beyond the responsibility of Orthosociety and Octacademy.

  3. The venue (location) will be placed in a lecture center, meeting room, or other conducive places.

C. PARTICIPATION AND PAYMENT OF ACTIVITY FEE

  1. Specifically for Continuing Education, participants are required to choose whether to pay full upfront or installment before the initial (first) session begins.

  2. Late payment tolerance is given for 14 (fourteen) calendar days after the payment due date. If after 14 (fourteen) days the payment is still not received by Octacademy, then the participant is deemed to have resigned.

  3. The fees for certification, level, degree, and accreditation from third-party institutions are the burden and responsibility of the participant. Unless said otherwise. Octacademy only acts as an accredited intermediary for these third-party institutions.

D. CHANGES AND CANCELLATION


  1. Changes and Cancellation by Orthosociety, Octacademy, and Third Party


    a) Orthosociety and Octacademy has the right to change the location of activities, schedule and date of activities, as well as materials and speakers should there be technical difficulties that cannot be overcome by Orthosociety and Octacademy or force majeure.

    b) Changes and cancellations due to technical difficulties shall be immediately informed verbally or in writing, via email, SMS, WhatsApp or other social media platforms.

    c) Should the entire ongoing activity be canceled due to certain reasons (due to state administrative reasons, politics, law, natural disasters, illness or death of the speaker, as well as other force majeure causes) then Orthosociety and Octacademy shall refund the participant fees that have been deposited, which has not been used. All fees that have been deposited and have been used (has gone through a certain session) are non-refundable.

    d) Should there be a cancellation of partnership by third party (another institutions) working together with Orthosociety and Octacademy for reasons similar to point D.1.c., thus Orthosociety and Octacademy shall inform participants in writing. Activities shall continue, and matters relating to the partnership with the third party shall not change other points contained in this agreement.

    e) If any Third Party cannot provide certification award, Orthosociety and Octacademy shall find institution replacement. But if impossible due to certain reasons, Orthosociety and Octacademy will refund only the certification fee but not the training fee.


  2. Changes and Cancellations by the Participant

    a) Any changes and cancellation by the participant must be submitted in written form through email: [email protected]

    b) Participants are allowed to ask for a refund as much as the fees have not been used plus $500 for administration fee.

    c) The maximum exam period is two years (2026 and 2027). If a participant wishes to take the exam after this period, they must re-enroll and pay the matriculation fee for the new academic year before being allowed to sit for the exam.

    d) Participants who withdraw and wish to rejoin in a future academic year may resume their coursework from the last completed module. However, module fees will follow the new academic year's pricing.

    e) If a participant has completed all required activities but has not fulfilled the academic or administrative requirements, Orthosociety reserves the right to withhold or revoke their certification.

E. CONFLICT AND DISPUTE RESOLUTIONS

All conflicts and disputes shall be resolved through negotiation for consensus, and should there be no common ground reached, they shall be resolved in accordance with the applicable law of respective countries.

By reading, filling out, and signing this registration form as well as provisions and approval of participants, therefore I hereby declare that I understand, agree and am willing to follow what is stated in it, as well as participate in Orthosociety and Octacademy activities without coercion from any party.
